    Post Marine landings in 1958

    I am looking for some information on the Marine landings in Lebanon during 1958. I want to know any backround information, government thinking to deploy the Marines, its role in the US strategic scheme of things and its aftermath. Reason I ask is because it is for an English project and most I can find on it is Marine Battalions used, a couple of maps, and a few of the ships used. Thank you for any help
